Description

Local historian Angie Parkison invites you to a non-partisan public reading of the Declaration of Independence near the Sayre Park gazebo in Glenwood Springs. At 10:00 o’clock, Sumner Schachter and Erin Zalinski, from the Glenwood City Council, will lead groups in reading alternating sections of the document.

Some copies of the Declaration will be available, or you can use a QR code on posters to pull it up on your phone or tablet. The Glenwood City website will have downloadable copies. Hear live patriotic music before and after the reading.

On July 4, music will play as you arrive. The reading will start at 10:00, with more patriotic songs following the reading. The entire patriotic experience will take 30-45 minutes.
