Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association Staff Recognized at Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) Annual Conference in Sacramento
Two Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association (GSCRA) staff members, Sara Teel and Angie Anderson, were recognized at the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) Annual Conference held in Sacramento, CA, February 12-15.
Sara Teel, Director of Marketing and Membership Development at the GSCRA, was named to the W.A.C.E. Emerging Leaders Council for a two-year term. The Emerging Leaders Council was formed to identify and recognize future leaders in W.A.C.E. and the chamber of commerce industry. Members of the council provide program feedback and ideas for the good of W.A.C.E. and serve as advisors to the Association’s board and president. Teel joined the GSCRA team in May 2021 prior to which she was with Visit Greeley and the Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce.
Angie Anderson, President & CEO at the GSCRA, was recognized for 15 years of service in chamber work with a Service Award at the W.A.C.E. Annual Conference. Awards are given in five-year increments. Anderson joined the GSCRA team in October 2007 and has served as President & CEO since January 2018. Anderson is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management (IOM), Roaring Fork Leadership and El Pomar’s Nonprofit Executive Leadership Program (NELP). She is the chair of the Mountain Chamber Alliance (MCA)) and president of the Association of Colorado Chambers of Commerce Executives (ACCC) Board of Directors. Anderson is a past member of the W.A.C.E. Emerging Leaders Advisory Council and will complete her final year of W.A.C.E Academy in August.
