DWC CPAs and Advisors is pleased to announce Rachel M. Schlepp, CPA, and Megan S. Loberg, CPA, have earned the U.S. International Tax Certificate, awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in association with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

The U.S. International Tax Certificate is an extensive learning program that helps global finance and accounting professionals navigate the highly complex world of international taxation. The certificate program comprises a three-part series of mastering the essential principles and concepts to building and applying knowledge of complex topics. Continuing education is required to remain current with competencies.

Rachel has 20+ years of experience in public accounting and has been with DWC since 2015. She is currently the managing partner of the Glenwood Springs office. Rachel worked for various accounting and advisory firms in the Denver metro area and as a bank examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Rachel’s expertise is in real estate development and investment, state and local tax, international tax, family-owned companies, risk management, and estate planning. She specializes in several industries, including real estate, construction, families, high net-worth individuals, and trusts and estates. Rachel also assists clients with financial planning and has attained certification with the American Institute of CPAs and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in risk management and insurance planning.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a finance emphasis and a master’s degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. She is a professional member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs. Beyond her professional commitments, Rachel dedicates her time as Scoutmaster for local Scout Pack 225G and serves as treasurer for the Valley View Hospital Foundation Board.

Megan is a Colorado native growing up in Berthoud. She attended Western State Colorado University and received bachelor of arts degrees in accounting, economics, and business administration. Megan joined DWC’s Glenwood Springs team in January 2018. As a tax manager, she provides income tax services for individuals and businesses in multiple industries and is one of DWC’s primary professionals working with dealerships, real estate rentals, and trusts. She also particularly enjoys clients with foreign reporting requirements.

Megan is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA), serving as the treasurer of the COCPA Roaring Fork Chapter. Outside of work, Megan finds joy in being a part of the Glenwood Springs community. She relishes the outdoors whenever she can with her husband and dog, hiking and snowshoeing on local trails.
