Temporary Full Closure  of 6th Street Begins

On Monday, May 19, plan ahead for a temporary, full closure of 6th Street from Maple Street through the intersection of Pine Street. This road closure aims to expedite project completion and to support the long term durability of street improvements.

What to expect for the next few weeks:

• The east end of 6th Street from Maple St. through the intersection of Pine St. will be closed to through traffic beginning on May 19th. After May 27th, the street will be closed to through traffic beginning at the roundabout. Pedestrians will still be able to access the east end of the Pine Street crossing in front of the Hotel Colorado throughout the closure.
• Business access will remain open with slight detours! No businesses will lose delivery access, but businesses should alert delivery personnel about the closure. Delivery trucks will be able to pull into the closure just east of Maple Street.
• Alley access to the southside businesses will remain open during the closure for employees and residents of these buildings.
