Valley View Chooses Epic as New Electronic Health Record System

Valley View is pleased to announce that it will bring the nation’s most widely used electronic health record (EHR) in the country to its patients. Epic is a fully integrated EHR system that will enable Valley View patients to have a single patient record shared across the entire Valley View network of care.

Valley View’s transition to Epic, which the anticipated launch is anticipated for Spring 2026, will enable Valley View patients to have a single patient record shared across the entire Valley View network of care. MyChart, a user-friendly patient portal, will enable patients to access their health information, communicate with providers, schedule appointments and more from across the Valley View network of care.

Patients’ health information will be integrated into one medical record, supporting collaboration and communication among providers. Valley View providers will also be able to more easily view and exchange patient data with providers outside of Valley View as all organizations using Epic have interoperability.

The Epic system will be implemented at Valley View with the help of UCHealth’s Epic Community Connect program, which has partnered with six other rural hospitals to launch Epic. It currently supports over 3,700 hospitals and over 190 million patients.
