Glenwood Springs Gears Up for 128th Annual Strawberry Days Festival
“Through the Eyes of Locals: Celebrating 140 Years of Glenwood Springs” themed festival takes place June 20-22 at Two Rivers Park
One of Colorado’s longest-running, and most beloved festivals is back! The 128th Annual Strawberry Days Festival returns to Two Rivers Park June 20–22, 2025, inviting visitors and locals alike to celebrate with the theme, “Through the Eyes of Locals: Celebrating 140 Years of Glenwood Springs.”
Hosted by the Glenwood Springs Chamber Foundation, this year’s festival will shine a spotlight on the vibrant stories, traditions, and hometown pride that make Glenwood Springs such a special place to live, work and visit. Guests can expect a weekend full of delicious food, artisan booths, a local parade, live music, Family Fest entertainment, and the iconic free strawberries and ice cream! The event is presented by Alpine Bank and Glenwood Hot Springs Resort. Thanks to generous sponsors, the event is free for the community and visitors to attend.
Strawberry Day began on June 18, 1898, in Glenwood Springs, thanks to the Tri-County Farmer’s Union. It was created to celebrate Colorado’s homegrown fruits, vegetables, and dairy. Local farmers brought strawberries and cream, neighbors baked cakes, and nearly 2,000 people from around the state showed up to take part. The festival has changed over the years, but it remains a vital part of our community’s identity and preserves our local history and values.
“Strawberry Days is a tradition rooted in our community spirit, and this year we’re excited to honor 140 years of Glenwood Springs history through the eyes of the people who know it best—our locals,” said Angie Anderson, President & CEO of the Glenwood Springs Chamber.
